Job Description:
Our client located in Nashville, TN is looking for an experienced contractor to lead the onboarding of HL7 Lab Orders and Results interfaces between their LIMS and various EHR systems they are supporting. This individual will need to be familiar with the HL7 Implementation Guide and can support the team through a seamless integration of these interfaces to ensure laboratory services can efficiently share data with EHR systems across multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough testing of HL7 interfaces to verify data is transmitted correctly. This includes unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Identifying and resolving issues related to data integration
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation of interface specifications
- Providing training to end users
- Develop, configure, and maintain HL7 interfaces
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years' experience in HL7 v2 interface deployment specifically for Lab Orders (LOI) and Lab Results (LRI) interfaces
- Prior experience leading or contributing to EHR and laboratory system integrations
- Experience with interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf) or similar tools for integration
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, LIMS, and other healthcare applications is essential
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must live in Tennessee
